This view estimates physical bends from OpenStreetMap road shapes. It does not group left-turn or right-turn maneuvers.

• Road geometry is sampled every 10 meters. A corner is a continuous curve in one direction with at least 30° of heading change and 30 meters of length. Up to 20 meters of approach is included.
• Each unique crash is matched to its recorded highway, within 100 meters of the road, and assigned to at most one corner.
• Straight sections, unmatched coordinates, other roads and freeway ramps are excluded. These totals do not represent every crash on these roads.
• Corner boundaries and IDs stay fixed when you change the year, vehicle filter or zoom. A future road-geometry refresh can change them.
• Motorcycle and car counts indicate involvement, not fault. A crash involving both appears in both vehicle views, but once in the overall total.

The optional unassigned-crash layer shows usable coordinates on the four named roads that did not enter a corner total. It follows the road, year and vehicle filters. Reported reference roads are not proof that a crash happened at that landmark. Other roads and records without usable coordinates remain outside this view.

These are estimates, not surveyed corner boundaries or risk per trip. Current road shapes may differ from those at the time of a crash. 2026 is partial and reporting may lag.
